If the cowboy can get the bottle of Rum without walking into the bar room he can have it for free.
Fred decided to pay anyway as he is sort of cheating.
Inspired by Poodles Hanneford in the film The Northwest Trail. Poodles did not have a miniscule Fred so he did it with a Bull Whip.....but you get the idea.
